That's why youtube went from hosting user generated videos to becoming all about viral marketing, people spamming comment threads, etc. The volume of content on the internet won't increase fast or considerably, but the volume of crap will. Eventually spam, exploiters, etc will take over large areas of openspace, and accordingly, user generated content will decline.
